Hervey Bay is one of southern Queenslands best natural holiday destinations.
Widely known for the easy access to observing humpback whales while they rest in the beautiful waters of Platypus Bay, Hervey Bay is the whale watching capital of Australia with tour boats operating during the July–November migration season.
It's also a hub for tours to nearby world heritage listed Fraser Island, which features beaches, beautiful freshwater lakes and a rainforest habitat for dingoes and other wildlife.
Hervey Bay’s waterfront esplanade links the city's marina with miles of safe sheltered waters making it an aquatic paradise perfect for year round swimming, diving, sailing, water sports and fishing.
